History of Central African Republic
XIXc. – the state Rabbaha was formed.1891 – creation in the country of the first strong points with the French garrisons.In the end of XIX century the region became the French colony and has received the name of Ubangi-Shari.1910 – the territory is switched on in the French Equatorial Africa.On August, 13th, 1960 the country has received independence (republic).1966– a military coup d’etat and an establishment of dictatorship of general Bokassa.1976 – Bokassa declared the country empire, and – the emperor.1981 – overthrow of the emperor and returning to a republican form of government.In 1981 military men have carried out revolution and since then keep the power. Since 1992 in the country activity of political parties is resolved. The Prices-Tralnoafrikansky the Republic is a member of the United Nations, IMF, the CART and the Organizations of the African unity.
