The assumption on existence of “the southern earth” has not been confirmed prior to the beginning of 1820 when the British both American commercial operators and the British and Russian national expeditions have started to investigate area of Antarctic peninsula and other areas to the south from the Antarctic Circle. Only when 1840 was it, has established, Antarctica was really continent and not only group of islands. Some researches “first” have been reached in the beginning of 20th century. The following Second World War, there was an increase of scientific research concerning continent. The set of the countries has adjusted all year long research stations on Antarctica. Seven have made territorial requirements, but not all countries recognise these requirements. To generate legal frameworks for actions of the nations on continent, about the Antarctic Agreement agreed that neither denies, nor gives a recognition to existing territorial requirements; registered 1959, it came into force in 1961.
