Mingachevir hydroelectric power plant (HPP Mingachevir) - hydroelectric power plant in Azerbaijan, the Kura River, near the town Mingachevir. The largest hydropower plant in the Caucasus.

The decision to build hydroelectric Minchechevir was taken by the Council of People’s Commissars of the USSR in July 1945.
